Chamudeswari Temple
The original shrine is thought to have been built in the 12th century by Hoysala rulers while its tower was probably built by the Vijayanagar rulers of the 17th century. In 1659, a flight of one thousand steps was built leading up to the 3000 foot summit of the hill.
Mysore palace
It is the official residence and seat of the Wodeyars — the rulers of Mysore, the royal family of Mysore. Since the world Palace was burnt in a fire accident, the new Lakshmi Villas Palace was built from 1896 to 1912 A.D by Krishnaraja Wodeyar(24th King). 2nd beautiful Palace in the world (The 1st one is London Buckingham Palace)
Brindavan Garden
It lies adjoining the Krishnarajasagara dam which is built across the river Kaveri. The work on laying out this garden was started in the year 1927 and completed in 1932.
Tippu`s Summer Palace
It was Hyder Ali Khan who started constructing this palace in the year of 1778. However, the construction was completed by his son Tipu Sultan in the year of 1784 AD.
Lal Bagh Garden
Hyder Ali commissioned the building of this garden in 1760 but his son, Tipu Sultan, completed it. Hyder Ali decided to create this garden on the lines of the Mughal Gardens that were gaining popularity during his time. At present more than 6000 species of plants and Tourist attraction- Floral Clock and Glass House.
