Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) was incorporated in 1971 with the motive to promote tourism and cater to the people across the world for exploring enchanting Tamil Nadu. From a modest start
of owning over 5 Govt. Bungalows and operating 2 coaches, the organization scaled great heights to own the longest chain of hotels in South India numbering 53 and a fleet of 14 coaches. Apart from this, TTDC
also branched out in multiple services to facilitate tourists like

The Transport Division at present has a fleet of 12 coaches, of which Three are Volvo and Six are AC coaches and Three are Non-AC coaches. TTDC is offering a wide range of package tours
covering the entire Southern States.
Every coach allows passengers to travel with comfort, safety and hygiene while adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols.
The India Tourist and Industrial Fair is organised every year from January to March for 70 days. All the Govt. Departments will attractively erect their pavilions with working models to educate the public about the welfare measures and development
programmes undertaken by the State Govt. Apart from regular India and Tourist and Industrial Fair, Summer Fair, Deepavali Fair, Food Fair etc., are conducted at the Island Ground with an area of 21 acres.
